New technical regulation on fire safety for houses and construction projects is now issued

According to this document, roads for fire trucks and fire truck parking lots at buildings classified into group F1.3 with a fire protection height of more than 15 m must be built to meet all of the following requirements:

- There must be a road for fire trucks within a driving distance of not more than 18 m from the end of the road to the entrance to all fire compartments of the firefighting lift or of the escape staircase with hoses DN 65 intended for professional firefighting forces (of the dry pipe system).

(Current regulation prescribes the distance from the entrance to all fire compartments of the firefighting lift or of the escape staircase with hoses DN 65 intended for professional firefighting forces (of the dry pipe system)).

- There must be a fire truck parking lot accessible to at least one entire exterior side of each building block, and located at a space which is not 2m close to, and not more than 10m far from, the outer wall of the building;

- The design of the fire truck parking lot and the road for the fire truck must conform to the regulations on the size of the fire truck parking lot.

Circular No. 02/2021/TT-BXD is entering into force as of July 5, 2021, replacing the Circular No. 01/2020/TT-BXD dated April 6, 2020.
